1.    Getting Started with CLX


•    Getting Started with CLX will show you how to log in to CLX, and update user permissions, cost and pricing, and sales tax.

•    If you need to add a new user or update product pricing but are unable to see the “Setup” tab within CLX, please contact your office’s administrator or CLX Customer Success for additional assistance at customerservice@clxsystem.com



2.    CLX Dashboard


The CLX Dashboard is the main landing page within your office’s CLX portal. On the Dashboard, you will find:


•    CLX Customer Support information

•    Link to CLX Customer Success Portal

•    Order Statuses (for the last 30 days)

•    “Active Suppliers” tab: Here you will find your distributor account number and contact information. 

•    With CLX, your distributor remains the same. CLX simply replaces the step of placing contact lens orders directly on your distributor’s website.

4.    How to use CLX Patient Protect


Patient Protect notifies exam-only patients to purchase from you at their convenience, using pre-verified order reminders through text and email.


    Patient Protect Reminders go out on the day of the exam and 2, 7, and 14 days after via email and text if the patient still has not purchased.

5.    How to use CLX Price Compare


Seeing is believing!  Demonstrate the value of an annual supply to your patients with CLX Price Compare.


•    Show patients the true out-of-pocket costs for contact lenses by automatically incorporating manufacturer rebates, insurance coverage, and any other applicable practice discounts

6.    How to use CLX Subscriptions


If a patient opts not to buy an annual supply, CLX Subscription allows patients to make smaller payments over the course of a year and auto-ships their contact lenses when they are due to runout.


•    CLX Subscriptions offer a convenient, pay-as-you-go option.

•    The patient’s credit card is safely stored in CLX and automatically charged when contacts are due to ship. Contacts are only shipped once full payment has been made.

•    Offer pay-per-month or pay-when-shipped payment options.

7.    CLX Reorder Overview 


For patients not purchasing an annual supply or enrolling in a subscription, CLX Reorder is an effective, automated tool for capturing patient reorders through texts & emails BEFORE patients run out of their contact lenses.


•      Capturing updated email and mobile phone numbers allows you to get the most out of CLX Reorder by making sure you are reaching as many patients as possible. 

•    Reorder text reminders go out 28, 14, and 0 days before a patient is due to reorder, as well as 14, 28, and 42 days after a patient is due to reorder. 

•    Reorder email reminders go out 28, 14, and 0 days before the patient is due to reorder, as well as 7, 21, 42, and 66 days after the patient is due to reorder

With CLX, you have a personalized, online contact lens store that allows patients to easily purchase contact lenses from your website anywhere, anytime.

9.    CLX Reporting Overview


With CLX Reporting, you’ll gain access to in-depth views of your contact lens business and be able to draw actionable insights for your practice.


•    Our reports give visibility into what your practice is doing both inside and outside of the office through e-commerce engagement, as well as segmentation by product, manufacturer, and modality. 

•    To view all CLX reports, you must have specific user permissions enabled. If you are unable to see a “Reporting” tab within CLX and need these permissions, reach out to your office’s administrator or CLX Customer Success for additional assistance at customerservice@clxsystem.com

•    CLX reports can be broken down by office, by doctor, and even sorted by individual employee.
